I thought I would post 2 days in a row since I barely get around to updating this thing these days.
Lane is now the proud owner of a little Canon Elf which he brought on our trip.
He definitely took a few too many photos that included moi..in all my greasy haired, sweatpants glory. It is funny to see a different perspective on everything since I am usually the one who’s the only one with a camera….
This one is all brought to you by Mutual of Omaha and looks like I’m on assignment photographing wild tigers..
Here is the photo of the photo series…
Fascinating isnt it??
And to answer that very common question I get asked constantly by people..”If you take all seven of your dogs on vacation with you, how do you keep track of them all?”
It’s all about the single file..just like in kindergarden…the buddy system!
Just spent a great few days in South Lake Tahoe with Lane and the dogs. Had to get our stuff out of storage from last year. Really fun..why do I live in the city again???
There’s the water buffalo now..going for a drink .
here is some of the crew getting a drink by the stream after an amazing hike.
But I think of all those dogs that have come and go. Many came from horrendous circumstances of abuse, neglect, pain and suffering. Many would have died only knowing that. Fostering gives them the best gift any living thing could ask for.
And that makes my heart feel good.
Here is ajust a few of the dogs I’ve fostered.
DEBBI – ID#A1014768

The shelter thinks I am about 10 months old.

i’ve got a bunch more to tell you about – soon.
Really scared little guy. His kennel cards says “go slow”
My name is Teddy and I am an unaltered male, tan and white Chihuahua – Smooth Coated mix.

I have been at the shelter since Apr 06, 2009.
So I met up with my friend Melissa and went over to Olvera Street for the Blessing of the Animals this past Saturday. I had my two Ol’ bitches with me Loni and Feather. They were dressed in their Sunday best and they looked like angels straight from heaven.
It was a fun time to look at all the animals and costumes. Loni and Feather did not actually get Officially blessed by the Cardinal b/c the line was too long. They sure are blessed with some good looks and winning personalities though.
Photos from the Blessing of the Animals…
I have not posted here in a while. I’ve been pretty busy with the dog rescue.
I live in downtown Los Angeles and our loft is surrounded by clothing factories. I’ve started a new project where I take all the fabric the factories throw away and I’m making the most bad ass rug out of it. I’ll take a photo of it when it’s done.
I’ve also been photographing a lot of city birds…when you live around so much concrete you really notice every bit of nature that comes around.
and here’s what the mutts have been up to…
running along the beach.
wow life is tough.
Train yard in Vernon Ca.
I never knew this part of Los Angeles existed until I moved downtown.
Vernon as described in Wikipedia..
“The population was 91 at the 2000 census. It has the smallest population of any incorporated city in Southern California; most of the city’s land area is occupied by industrial facilities.
Hence, it is fitting that the slogan on its official city seal is “Exclusively Industrial.”
I took Feather out for an all day “pretend your an only child” day. She loved it.
Feather is the only dog of mine that could take or leave the other dogs so she really enjoys pretending they don’t exist sometimes!
We went by my friend’s cool and creepy antique shop to get some old doors and Feather was the perfect model. She will stay perfectly still and stare at you with this look like she is trying to put a spell on you.
